Boonville’s first-ever Porch-Off is a fresh spin on community competition — open to solo artists, duos, and bands of all styles. Whether you’re acoustic and heartfelt, experimental and edgy, or just here to have fun, this is your chance to be part of something new at Porchfest.
Performers will be featured across town on porches and patios throughout the weekend. Audience members can scan QR codes to vote, and a small panel of local judges will help choose the winner. The performer with the most support takes home the entire prize pool, made up of $25 entry fees from participants.
The Porch-Off also marks the launch of our upcoming Community Competition Page — a new initiative from Stoney Shire that will feature friendly contests and challenges year-round, from music and art to food and craftsmanship. This is just the beginning, and we’re inviting you to help set it in motion.

Every Porch-Off performance will have a QR code for public voting. Crowd excitement counts — so bring your people and make it fun.
Note: A judging panel will contribute to the final score, but the audience will have a strong say in who takes home the prize.

Folk, rock, indie, hip hop, metal, jazz, spoken word — if it can be performed on a porch, you’re in.

Porchfest is a porch-to-porch event, so performers are generally expected to bring their own instruments and sound setup. If you’re performing at a porch that’s already equipped with a PA or power access, we’ll let you know ahead of time.

Porchfest is a rain-or-shine event — some porches are covered, and many performers can adapt. That said, in the case of severe weather, we’ll work with hosts and performers to adjust or reschedule as needed. We’ll also post updates on our website and social media.
Yes! Performers are welcome to sell merch at their porch location with permission from the host. Just bring what you need and keep it simple — a small table or display works great.
