In these days where creativity and connection are being squandered by big business, endless technology, and the daily grind of survival, we at Stoney Shire believe it is time to build something different.
Our vision is to cultivate a foundation where people can connect, learn, grow, and showcase their unique talents and skills. From our online platforms to live community events, and eventually to a physical home that brings it all together, we are creating opportunities for artisans, musicians, crafters, and everyday creators to thrive.
We see how big business continues to strip away opportunities from small individuals, and how trades, skills, and personal expression slowly disappear. This has a profound effect on belonging, hope, and our desire to create. Without clear pathways to use our gifts, people are left with hopelessness, despair, anxiety, and addiction, often turning to distractions like social media or consumerism to fill the void.
Stoney Shire exists to reignite that passion. To show people that their talents matter, that creativity still has a place, and that there are better ways to share, to learn, and to connect. Through our website, our app in development, community competitions, events, and the eventual creation of spaces for workshops, markets, and seasonal attractions, we aim to restore what has been lost: the sense of community, the spark of inspiration, and the belief that craft and creativity can make a real difference.
What we are building is not just a marketplace. It is a movement that gives people back their voice, their craft, and their connection to each other.
